These affiliations offer various forums that bring together other convenience distributors and our trading partners, allowing us to share and discuss the latest trends and strategies.
Southco was awarded CSS Distributor of the Year from Golbon in 2012 and the NCPCM’s Dean Cline Vendor of the Year in 2015. Serving as a member of WAM since 1996, we were awarded Best Promotional Performance in 2008 and Outstanding Service Award in 2012.
Sherwin Herring, CEO, has served as Past Chairman of the AWMA, Past President of NC/VA Wholesale & Distributors Association, and Past President of the SAWD, as well as served on various committees and boards of each of these organizations. He was the 2008 SAWD Recipient of the Career Achievement Award which demonstrates extensive commitment to service and achievement in the industry.
Sonny Wooten, President, has served as Past President of NC/VA Wholesale & Distributors Association. Chris Wise Vice-President CFO, Buddy Davis General Manager, and April Garver Executive Vice President have all served on the board of the SLD, Southern Leadership Division of the SAWD.
